A complementary, economical support structure is also available, tested to stably support an 80° incline:

The author's included baseplate utilizes excessive filament (approximately 130g) and offers limited stability. I designed a custom baseplate perfectly fitting a 200x200 mm relief map, iterating through two versions before settling on a nested, thin-layer design consuming only 35g of filament. Text and fonts are customizable; a recessed font allows for AMS or pause-and-swap filament changes, and facilitates flawless coloring with an etching pen.

The frame's tolerances ensure a snug fit for a 200x200 mm map, preventing dislodgement even when inverted; adhesive may optionally secure the thin layers at the corners.

The ultra-thin 2mm design subtly showcases the internal grid infill as a decorative, bas-relief element. I plan to incorporate map-related text into these infill patterns.
