Description:
A remix & share for a complete Filament Storage Box by using multiple models from multiple sources. A Ikea Samla 22L box is used, as these are available around the globe. I edited the 10 mm Rod Holder to fit my specific needs. I have multiple Ikea Samla boxes that use this complete setup to keep my filaments free from dust and moisture. Also, Gliding Feet are added to the Samla Box to avoid damaging the floor and to easily move the boxes around.
The 10 mm rod holders have been remixed by me to make it able to use in combination with the Silicagel Box. The rod holder was edited in Tinkercad for that. It was firstly uploaded on Printables on 24-04-2023.
To complete this setup, you will need to buy some extra stuff:
- 4x M3 Bolt, 16 mm in lengte. I like to use a PZD Bolt for easy screwing and this fits nicely.
- 4x M3 Nut.
- Self-adhesive foam tape for extra sealing the lid.
- Doublesided self-adhesive tape for mounting the rod holders.
- A 10 mm rod. I like to use aluminium rods. Must be cut to the right size.
- A round hydrometer. These can be bought cheap on Alieexpress.
- I like to add some soft, self-adhesive felt on the gliding feet, but this is completly optional.
Some small instructions on some of the printable parts:

I did the following in Bambu Slicer for all the models:
- I used a 0.20 Print profilebasefile I like and edited it.
- I sorted all the different parts on different plates for easier printing, based on the colors I liked..
- The printing profile has Brim turn off by default. I would highly recommend to use a brim when printing the clips.
If there are more suggestions for better settings, please upload them!
The color sorting in the 3fm-file is based on the following filament that I used for this print:
- White: eSUN PLA+ Cold White.
- Grey: eSUN PLA+ Grey.
Please note that eSUN is currently switching to Carton Spool Holders if you want to print from the AMS-System. I used the ‘old’ plastic filament spools which I currently still have.
