Description

The baseball cap washing cage is designed for use in the dishwasher only, ideally with cold water and no drying cycle to prevent the plastic from deforming. The pieces are 3D printed without supports and are designed to snap together but require glue for a secure hold. To use, clamp the hat inside the two frames and fasten the front with zip ties or twist ties to hold the cap in place during washing. Hang to dry.

My print turned out exactly as the photos, need to use BRIM for the thin long part, and also use GYROID infill. I will try again. Thanks for the model, its a great idea, and just needs some tweaking of the print settings.

can I use it in the washing machine?

The tumbling in a front load will likely break it. A top load might work, but not sure. I recommend using it in the dish washer.

Just put it in something like bed sheets.

couldn’t get it to stay on plate. User multiple filament types and it kept coming off plate.

I used PLA+, had some minor warpping. ABS may work better.

The profile is mostly good, but a couple of elements needed a bit more support to print cleanly. Sadly the model didn't survive the wash.
