Description

A family member needed a decorative cover for an air duct in their house, and couldn't find any to buy in the right size, so I stepped up, and designed this for them. Uploading here, on the off chance that it can help anyone else.

It covers a hole that is 200mm x 100mm, and screws in to the wall on the outside of the hole. The model is 220mm x 120mm, to be able to screw it in the wall.

Prints without support, and I used generic PLA on a textured build plate for this print.

Fantastic print, nice and quick and easy in PLA. Needed a new vent cover for ages and this has saved my sanity. Used some black mesh behind it I use for pc fan dust cover (very cheap). looks great thank you.

Sized it up for a larger vent. Had to cut it and print in two sections but worked well and met our needs.

For some reason the print didnt come out well. I'm not sure if I was suppose to put glue on it but the print came up from the bed.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. If it lifted off the bed, you could try adding an outside brim to the model before printing, and cleaning your build plate might also help.

I’m not technical! is there anyway you can modify the size to 10cm x 25cm actual size of the piece? to print on an A1 mini? thanks
