I rediscovered some of my mother's old playing cards in some boxes in the garage; she adored playing cards!
This case is designed for classic Italian playing cards, used for games like scopa, briscola, tressette, or Christmas games such as bestia or sette e mezzo.
There are various types of Italian playing cards, differing by region. Besides the Piacentine, there are Neapolitan, Bergamo, Trentino, Bolognese, Milanese cards, etc., featuring either Italian, Spanish, or classic French suits.
My mother preferred these Piacentine cards!
This specific design is for the Modiano brand.
So I decided to create a protective case for them—a cherished memory. As you can see from the photos, the original cardboard box was quite worn!
This version features a slim design.
