🎉🔩 3 Year Anniversary of the Fidget Bolt! 🔩🎉

On September 18, 2022, I released the Fidget Bolt on Cults3D. Hard to believe it’s already been three years since then!

In that time, it’s been downloaded over 2,500 times 🤯 across all my platforms — something I never expected when I first uploaded it. The Fidget Bolt was one of my very first designs, and it’s still one of the most popular ones today. Be sure check out the new v.3 update on my Cults3d and Patreon Page!

The Fidget Bolt was originally designed by me as a unique creation for the purpose of selling at a Local Craft Show. Upon showcasing it to my friends and family, they were impressed and encouraged me to make the file available to others. This charming toy has broad appeal, appealing to all ages and personalities, and it's particularly popular among neurodivergent individuals who can play with it for hours on end.

Printing Tips: No Supports Needed!

The Fidget Bolt features an Embedded Loop that can be utilized for attaching a Keychain or Paracord/Rope. It prints in three pieces requires glue to assemble, prints with no supports!

The Original Fidget Bolt has been test printed at 60%, 75%, 100% and 200% (See Group Photo). The tolerances (0.6mm) between 75-200% make this operate fine. However if it is not spinning, I suggest twisting it manually until it has sanded itself down. You can also add some Skateboard Bearing Oil or other lubricants to the tread. (Tip try water too!)

Print this with a 0.4 Nozzle with 3 Walls and 10% Infill. For a different click and clack print the Nut with Higher or Lower Infills. This File is also frequently used as a Purged Object, I suggest at least 25% if printing as purge.

For overall best results I also suggest lowering your Outer Walls speed to 40mm/s especially if printing with Silk.

Print it in Glow Filament with a Hardened Steel Nozzle/Gears with a 0.6 Nozzle with 2 Walls and 20% Infill.
