Description

Designed a takedown tool to replace the wire used on Kimber Ultra Carry II 45acp. It may work on other models, but the rod needs to have a stop at the front. My Aegis does not, so wire is still needed for that.

This model fits easily around the dust cover and snaps onto the rod.

To use, Lock back the slide. Place the tool onto the rod Snap into place. and then drop the slide release (pulling back slightly on the slide). The tool will then then stop the spring assembly and the slide can easily be removed. Insure it is well in place. Do reverse to reassemble. Really same as the wire procedure. It is tight initially, you may have to slightly sand on end to reduce length just a fraction.

I've two on the plate. Just as quick to print a couple as one. Toss in your bag, print from nice bright color so you can find it. Also, I used PLA, plenty strong enough for this, but PETG should work fine.
