Description
3DSets vehicles are awesome, however the open CV axles have to be greased to prevent wearing out the connection, These boots are designed to protect all the open CV (universal) joints by allowing you to stuff them with Grease and not worry about the elements washing it all away.
I have made and tested the files included on the Model 14 and Model 1 CV joints but most 3DSets vehicles use the same sized joint from what I have seen. I plan on getting more models and testing them in the future.
I really hope it helps you enjoy your adventure in 3Dprinting and RC vehicle upgrades.
Included in this download are 4 files. These Boots have only been printed on a Bambu A1.
Infill 100% (doesn’t really matter due to the walls)
Walls 4
Vase Mode to avoid stringing (optional but not required)
TPU 95A (Creality brand but you can try others)
Its best to print 1 at a time to avoid external stringing
Brim with 0.15 gap and 5 inner & outer loops recommend
3Dsets CV Boot LGShaft - This boot is for the larger side of your vehicles drive shafts but will work on either end that is not next to the Transmission
CV BootTransmissionShaft - Due to how tight the space is for the transmission CV connections on models like the Rancher, this Boot is much thinner but still durable enough to handle the forces of the CV twisting (it can be used anywhere except for the Wheel CVs)
3Dsets CV Boot Wheel shaft - The Wheel CVs have a very tight clearance and are slightly shorter than the Driveshaft CV joints, which is why this Boot is only intended for the wheel CVs
CV Boot SmallShaft(optional) - this boot is more cosmetic but still helps keep out dirt on the smaller side of your main Driveshafts, this boot won’t work on the large end.
