Pen Blank Casting Mold (1in x 6in)

Pen blank casting mold for resin pen turning. This model produces a 1in x 6in blank if the mold cup is filled all the way to the top.

Includes center marks on the ends to make centerfinding on the resulting blank easier.

This mold is designed so that it is NOT removed before drilling and/or turning. Use the centerfinding marks on the sides to drill your fully-cured blank to the size needed for your brass tubes, then just proceed as normal. Put the whole thing, mold and all, onto your mandrel, and turn it away like any other waste material.

Print in clear PLA at 100% infill for best results, but you can use colored filament if you want or if you have extra unused filament laying around.
