Spider on Tattered Web Christmas Tree Ornament
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is yet another in my gothic ornaments series inspired by my Cameo light switch cover. This was the first one I actually made and doesn't quite match the aesthetic of the others, but it was still the beginning of these odd ornaments. This one is designed to be like a spider on a kind of deteriorating web.
I used Craiyon to generate the image and did further edits in Photoshop before running the design through Hueforge. I added a simple hole in the Bambu slicer to help with hanging it.
This one took me extensive edits in Photoshop to get it just the way I wanted. I started with a version that is on the first plate in the print file. This one is the traditional Hueforge design where dark is thinnest and light is thickest, but I didn't really like that the spider was thinner than the web. Seemed odd.
Next was the version that is on plate 2 where I inverted the colors so now the web was the thinnest and the spider was the thickest. This one was okay, but now it had the bone white tatters on the web, thicker than the web, and if it is the tatters of the web, it felt like it should be thinner. So, I went back to photoshop in order to make it so the web would be darker than the parts that are cut out to get the layering just right. In the photos, I shared what the original Craiyon photo looked like and what it looked like in the end in Photoshop. I ended up also leaving out the dark brown and sticking just with white, bone white, and black.
Anyway, all of the color changes are in the Bambu slicer file, but here is the color changes for PLATE 3 which is the main spider design.
Layer 1 - 16 : Bone White (Inland)
Layer 17 - 24 : White
Layers 25 - Top : Black
