Bill of Materials
Description
This is a custom shell for the XTRYFY MZ1 Wireless. The shell is assembled using all original components of the mouse, including screws and battery.
This was my very first experience with anything relating to CAD software and 3D printing, so it's certainly a bit rough around the edges
Heavy inspiration was drawn from Optimum Tech on Youtube.
MZ1 original skates can work on the mouse, but are not ideal.
The pictured print uses Bambu Labs PLA-CF at .2mm. Test prints used regular PLA, which had more flex on the triggers to a detriment. Both of these worked fine, but the extra stiffness is a bonus. The CF also provides more grip from the rough texture and .2mm prevents layer lines from being felt along the triggers. Exact filaments used in tests/final print are linked.
My final weight with this came to 31.8 grams as pictured, not including skates (proper fitting ones have not arrived, and I used permanent glue on the last white PLA prototype before CF print). This could easily be reduced by using a lighter battery.
