Introducing the New Class of Nuclear Rocket
We are excited to unveil a ground-breaking advancement in space travel: a new class of nuclear rocket capable of sustained acceleration at 0.3G. This revolutionary technology opens up new frontiers for interplanetary exploration.
Key Features:
- Continuous Acceleration: The rocket can maintain a constant acceleration, significantly reducing travel time and making long-distance missions more feasible.
- Round Trip to the Jovian System: With this capability, missions to the Jovian system and back can be conducted without the need for refueling, enhancing mission flexibility and safety.
- Expanded Exploration Opportunities: This technology not only allows for more ambitious missions but also supports the potential for crewed exploration of the outer planets and their moons.
Why It Matters:
This new nuclear rocket technology represents a significant leap forward in our ability to explore the solar system. By enabling faster and more efficient travel, we can unlock the mysteries of distant worlds, paving the way for future scientific discoveries and the potential for human colonization beyond Earth.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey into the cosmos!

Designer notes:
This is my first model that I have designed from scratch. I have been a lifelong fan of science-fiction and the space genre in general and I wanted to give this competition a go designing my very own space vehicle.
My influences from those 1970s futuristic impressions of space travel. I tried to give it a feel of being a prototype and also give it a 1970s feel to it.
There are five individual pieces that make up the model. You have the engine section, the main section, the nose section and then two individual pegs. Just put the pegs in the holes and push all together (may need a splodge of glue to hold it in place.

The printer profile included is for the A1 0.4mm nozzle(although it should fit any plate size), and it’s a two coloured print. Although you can override that to do a single coloured print of desired. No rearranging required, just press&print.
I hope you enjoy the model, feel free to remix and I’d be honoured for any boosts.
Many thanks x
