Cable management tool for spiral cable sleeves

Description
I’ve designed a custom tool in Creo as an alternative to a commercially available version, intended for use in organizing and securing cables inside a spiral cable protection/management sleeve. Here’s how the tool works and its specifications:
- Cable Compatibility: The tool is designed to accommodate cables with a maximum diameter of 10mm, making it ideal for LAN cables, charging cords, power supply cables, and similar applications.
- Sleeve Compatibility: It is optimized for spiral cable management sleeves of the type which can be seen in the pictures, with a closed diameter of 13-16mm.
The tool’s cone-shaped tip is engineered to open the spiral sleeve as it is pushed along, creating space for the cables to be inserted. An outer cylindrical handle ensures ergonomic and effortless application, allowing for a comfortable grip during operation. The cables are placed in a curved, open channel within the tool. As the tool is pushed along the length of the spiral sleeve, the cables are guided into the opened sleeve. Once the sleeve passes through the tool, the spiral naturally closes, securely enclosing the cables inside.
The first version of the tool, as shown in the pictures, features a closed-channel design for guiding cables into the spiral sleeve. However, in the second version, I’ve made a significant improvement by removing one wall of the channel. This open-channel design allows the spiral sleeve to wrap around the cables without the need to unplug them first.
This design streamlines the cable management process, reducing manual effort and ensuring a clean, organized result.
