Description

9V batteries are one of those things that never seem to be lying around the house, right? But recently, I bought a bunch of MT3608 DC-DC Boost Converter 2A Adjustable Step Up Modules from Amazon, and suddenly, I had the perfect excuse to use this piece!

I remixed the back piece to fit one of these MT3608 boards, so now I can easily plug it into any micro USB. Note: the hole for the MT3608 could probably be a bit more snug, but for what it’s doing, it works just fine—held in place with a little dab of hot glue. I also left the option for a 9V connector in case I ever want to use a 9V battery down the line.

The front face is a remix from this Thingiverse design, which is already a remix itself. I didn’t make any changes to that piece, just included it here so everything’s in one spot!

Hope this helps someone out there. If it does, feel free to buy me a coffee or a beer—keeps the creative juices flowing! 🍻☕

Hey, my laptop isn’t working. Is there any chance you could post a print profile for the X1C? I would be eternally grateful

I've uploaded a print profile for the X1C, please bear in mind I've used the default settings since I'm on holidays and don't have the printer with me at my location! I'll make sure to double check when I'm back!

As soon as I saw this design, I knew I had to print it. It's the perfect solution to protect the meter and stop using it as a loose board on the table. My experience: Adjustments: I made some small manual tweaks to the case to ensure a perfect fit for my components, but the base design is excellent. Utility: The space for the USB connector is a total win, it greatly facilitates powering the device without always relying on batteries. Result: It worked the first time, and now the meter looks much more professional and secure. My print details: Settings: 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, and 15% infill. Time: 1.3 hours. Material: 49 g on a single plate. Compatibility: Printed without issues on the Bambu Lab series. Thank you very much for the design, it's a 'must' for any electronics lab
