Description
The Aircraft
Development Background: Originally designed as a fast passenger aircraft in the 1930s, the Blenheim was quickly adapted as a light bomber for the RAF. When it was introduced, it was faster than many contemporary fighters, making it a potent tool for early reconnaissance and bombing roles.
Interesting Facts:
- The Blenheim was one of the first British aircraft to perform a raid over Germany in WWII, symbolizing the RAF’s offensive capability.
- Its speed advantage over fighters was short-lived, and it quickly became vulnerable to newer enemy aircraft.
- Despite its limitations, it was adapted for multiple roles, including fighter-bomber and night fighter, showcasing its versatility.
The Model
Snaps into place without issue. Can be mounted or hung from the loop on top. It didn't require any glue with my print of it.
Great model kit! The engine halves snap together using the rectangular connector and may need a drop of glue to keep the fan/intake in place. Utilize the linked stand for displaying. As always, please let me know if you have any problems before leaving a poor review. I try to make sure folks are getting quality models.
Here's the stand that I used in the photos: https://makerworld.com/en/models/588924#profileId-510254
