Description

Here is a seat that can embark a Roger Charger V4SC* while riding a Leaperkim Veteran Sherman L. It has been reported to also work on the Oryx. It prevents having it in your back pack for weight distribution and safety. It is also a higher seat to be comfortable while seated on the wheel. This was a more complex project than I originally anticipated but the result is matching my expectations. Please note that printing this is not for the faint of heart, as you will print 3 different material, have to pause one TPU print to insert a block of PC so that cap screws have something solid to hold onto, this overall will take more than 24h of printing time. I had to split the print in 3 parts because it could not fit in my printer. I am enclosing the source design as a Fusion archive if you want to modify it (maybe you have another charger or have a larger printer?).

Dimensions of the cavity in which the charger goes with the long back: 275.6x107x44mm. With the short back: 216.6x107x44mm. If your charger fits, nice, if not feel free to adapt using the provide fusion files.

Review of the seat by Dawn Champion:

11/28/2024:

Added a shorter back when not carrying the charger so that the seat does not overhang.

12/27/2024:

  • Added a box for the shorter back
  • Added a flatter option for the nomal seat back that prints easier

04/27/2025:

  • Added loops versions for main and the two backs to allow for a strap to secure the back

07/21/2025:

  • Added H2D specific print profile making use of the larger print area and multi-material support
