Say goodbye to fixed sizes! I have completely upgraded my Manga Wall Shelf into a fully parametric OpenSCAD script. Now, you can easily customize the shelf to fit ANY manga collection, individual volume thickness, or specific brand perfectly.

✨What makes this Parametric Edition awesome :

• Custom Individual Widths: Specify the exact thickness for each individual volume. Perfect for combining standard volumes, fat omnibuses, or special editions side-by-side!
• Perfect Flush & Seamless Tiling: The exterior remains a clean, right-angled rectangular box. This allows you to stack or tile multiple shelves side-by-side or vertically without any gaps.
• Smart Material Saving: The base area is completely hollowed out inside to save printing time and filament while keeping the structural walls solid and strong.
• Precision Screw-On Front & Label: The grid panel and custom label plate are completely flat for an easy, 100% support-free print (With cutouts on the left & right Support is needed). They attach safely from the front using M2 screws, keeping your mangas secure.

• Flush 100% Bending Plate: The customizable nameplate at the bottom expands dynamically and finishes completely flush with the outer edges of the case for a seamless, premium look.

   

🛠️How to use the MakerWorld Customizer:

Click the green "Customize" button here on MakerWorld. You don't need any coding skills! Just adjust these main settings in the menu:

• number_of_books: Simply drag this slider to change the number of manga slots instantly (from 1 to 10). The entire case and front panel will scale automatically!
• mode: Choose how you want to handle the book thicknesses. Set it to "uniform" to make all slots exactly identical (perfect for standard manga series). Set it to "individual" if you want to mix standard volumes and thick special editions using the list below.
• - side_cutouts_enabled: Set to true to automatically cut out the big side walls like windows (saving printing time and material, just like in the model images). Set to false to keep solid side walls.
• manga_thickness_uniform: Adjust this slider to set the thickness for ALL slots at once (only active if mode is set to "uniform").
• manga_thickness_individual: If mode is set to "individual", the script takes values from this list from left to right. It automatically ignores any extra numbers beyond the number of books you selected above.
• label_text: Type in your favorite manga title (e.g., "BLUE LOCK", "ONE PIECE"). The text automatically rescales to fit the plate perfectly.
• wall_holes_enabled: Set to true to generate adjustable wall mounting slots, or false for a clean flat back if you just want to put the case on a desk or shelf.

🖨️Recommended Print Settings & Assembly

• Main Case: Print it flat on its backplate (lying down). No supports needed!(With cutouts on the left & right Support is needed)
• Front Grid & Label Plate: Print them completely flat on the build plate.
• Walls / Perimeters: Set to at least 3 to 4 walls so the M2 screw channels and outer edges print solid and strong.
• Infill: 10–15% (Gyroid or Grid) is perfectly fine for the rest of the case.
• Multi-Color Label: For a beautiful two-color look on the label, add a filament change (Pause/M600) in your slicer right at the layer height where the 3D text begins (typically at 1.8 mm when printing at a 0.2 mm layer height).

• Hardware: You will need 4 small M2 screws to attach the front panel to the main case.

Trage bei manga_thickness_list die Dicke deiner Mangas in Millimetern ein (z.B. [18, 18, 18, 18]) und erstelle dir dein perfekt passendes Case ganz ohne Programmierkenntnisse!

The print profiles for Special Editions are adapted to the dimensions of the respective manga. 

The front is printed separately and can be easily attached

Make sure to attach the front the right way around, as the bottom is 1.5mm thicker than the top

The front should not be removed after assembly as otherwise the pins may break. (if you need to remove them, be careful)
