Description

I have been looking for a long time for wheel adapters for my Fractal Design Define R6 case and could only find the Define R7 adapters Wendell at Level1Techs, which do not fit the R6.

So, I kind of gave up on it.

Now, several months later, I started looking again and, apart from people looking for the same thing, couldn't find anything.

So, I started making my own.

The Define R6 uses an offset design where the left side is different from the right side. Although the original feet are all the same, the distance from the side of the case is different.

Besides this, the holder for the bottom filter doesn't allow the same adapters in the front as in the back.

There are 4 different adapters which all use the same 11mm x 22mm stem, which should allow for most office chair casters to work. I used the original casters from my Noblechairs Icon.

All adapters are labeled by their proper position on the case if the case faces front towards you.

The original screws can be used to install these adapters.

Printed parts in picture are printed with ERYONE Carbon Fiber PETG black, 0.2mm layers, 25% gyroid, 4 walls.

The adapters might work on previous versions of the case (define R5/R4) but I cannot guarantee this as I do not have access to these cases.

DISCLAIMER: I, nor makerworld are responsible for any damage caused by the use of these adapters. Inproper use, bad print quality, low infill or overweight might cause the adapters to fail.

Definitely a good design, but don't try using PLA or it will snap. Gonna try again in the near future with PETG.

I don't know the exact issue you are having with PLA ? I used to prototype these in esun matte pla and didn't experience any issues other than maybe some of the alignment pins snapping off. I did choose to print the final version in PETG-CF and it's been holding up just fine ever since.
