Description

First off, all credit to mabbog on thingiverse (Coin sorter for UK coins (inc new £1) by mabbog - Thingiverse), who remixed and modernised the design by nifty1a.
This design is on bambu handy and MakerWorld somewhere, but that design gives no credit to the original model creators and is incomplete, leading to failed prints.

This is an extremely useful coin sorter which sorts UK coins, (1p, 2p, 5p,10p, 20p, 50p, £1, and £2)

especially someone with lots of change lying around or someone who deals with it daily.
Enjoy!

Nice design. Coins occassionally get stuck or fall out of the stack at the bottom for me, but I would still say this is a useful model.

Works well, 20p may get stuck a bit sometimes, but otherwise very good. Thank you!

Do you happen to have a model with a fix for the 10p getting stuck at the £1 slot? I've tried both the original upload and the one for the £2 fix (which works great for all coins except the 10p). It looks like the £1 opening needs to be ever so slightly reduced in size to stop the 10p getting stuck there but I'm a complete novice when it comes to CAD and wouldn't know where to begin when it comes to making that sort of change to the model

I've printed this in full, and then printed the 'slide' part (with the holes) a few times adjusting various settings. Each weak does not solve the issue I have where the £2 coin gets stuck in the hole before it (the 50p hole) While the rest of the coins have no issue .. the £2 one getting stuck everytime, just makes this not worth printing or spending anymore time on. I read in your comments that this is based on the original model, and that too had issues... and with others commenting that this version also has issues... perhaps this design is best left in the bin with the poop.

Replying to @bubbasworld :
Thank you for your reply and the 'fix' I ended up just buying a coin sorter in the end. Trouble is, now I have no coins to sort lol

5p coins tend to bounce out of the tube and 10p coins get stuck in the 2p slot, but very satisfying to use regardless

unless you use Japanese rating culture, I think a 3 stars is unreasonable, I understand that it didn't work perfectly but as it said I'm the description I am not the designer, this model has lots of positive reviews on thingiverse, there might either be a solution or a reason for this issue on there. also, I would like to humbly ask you to edit the rating to 4 stars if you find a solution, as this could damage the rest of my account on Bambu Handy and Makerworld

Works well. 10p sticks but apart from that does what it's supposed to

Great design, just has a problem with the 10 pence pieces - they get stuck on the one before. Otherwise works perfectly

I'm really sorry but even the individual components are too small for the A1 mini bed, and this is not my model originally. I would suggest downloading the model and literally cutting it into 2 halves and printing them separately as 2 different sorters

loved it and was very useful for counting and bagging up of £300 of loose change from a vodka bottle
