Description
Version 3 of my safety latches for drawers and cabinets. NEW IMPROVED PRINT SETTINGS RELEASED 16FEB2025
This version has a cleaner print and is modelled to reduce the amount of supports needed. The best orientation for strength is on the side so that the layers are perpendicular to the flexing. I upgraded this design to be able to print with PLA. I used to use ABS with my child locks and wanted to find a design to work using all the PLA I had laying around. I haven't had any issues using PLA+ yet but if your material is breaking feel free to reach out or you can use this design with other stronger and more flexible materials. I have not tried all of them but I have had some success with PETG and ABS. I did try CF Nylon but it was pretty stiff. It wasn't going to break but it wasn't going to bend much either.

Hope these help you out as much as they have our family! Please leave a rating, any feedback you have or suggestions for updates, and I always appreciate the boosts!
These latches are compatible with the original brackets!
The screws the clips were designed for are 6 x ½ sheet metal screws, but I imagine anything similar will work as long as they fit in the recesses.
