End Cap Generator

As a partner to the popular Hole Plug Generator, I present the End Cap Generator.

This easy-to-use parametrizable model will automatically generate End Caps for a multitude of different applications.

Create circular, elliptical, square and rectangular endcaps of all sizes.

Easy to use

1. Select “Customize”
2. Select the shape of cap
3. Input the cap dimensions
   • A → primary internal measurement (mm)
   • B → secondary internal measurement (mm) (for elliptical or rectangular shapes)
4. Set the wall thickness for the cap (mm)
5. Set the length of the cap (mm)
6. Check the “ribs” box if you want internal ribs to be generated - useful for flexible materials such as TPU
7. Check the “round” box to round off the open edge of the cap.
8. Select Generate

9. Download 3MF and print

    

Notes

• The dimensions for the end cap hole are internal. Just measure the size of the part the end cover needs to fit over and enter those values.
• The secondary dimension is not used for the circular or square shape
• If you want to print multiple caps use the “clone” option or “fill plate” in Bambu Studio

UPDATE

Download and use the EndCapV2.1 (experimental). This version has the additional feature of being able to add a “key ring attachments" to the end of the end cap. This may be very useful if you want to attach something to a keyring that does not have a keyring hole. Two types of attachment are now supported.
