Description

The Aircraft

Development Background: The Ju 88 was initially developed in the mid-1930s as a "fast bomber" capable of outrunning enemy fighters. However, its development was slowed by extensive modifications, as the Luftwaffe sought to make it as versatile as possible. It became one of the most adaptable aircraft in the German arsenal, used as a bomber, night fighter, and more.

Interesting Facts:

  • The Ju 88 could carry a wide range of bombs and even torpedoes, making it highly versatile in both land and naval operations.
  • It played a key role in the Battle of Britain, the Eastern Front, and the Mediterranean, proving essential to the Luftwaffe in all major theaters.
  • With over 15,000 units built, it was one of the most produced aircraft in WWII and served in nearly every role imaginable for the Luftwaffe.

The Model

Enjoy this simple print of an infamous bomber of the Luftwaffe for your WWII model collection. As long as you have “inner/outer” selected for print order, it should snap together beautifully for you.
