Junkers Ju-87 Stuka Dive Bomber WWII Model Kit
Print Profile(1)

Description
The Aircraft
Development Background: The Ju 87 was one of the most iconic dive bombers of WWII, designed for precision bombing with a distinct siren (the "Jericho Trumpet") that terrified ground troops. It was highly effective during the early Blitzkrieg campaigns but increasingly vulnerable as the war went on.
Interesting Facts:
- The Stuka was instrumental in the early German invasions of Poland and France, providing devastatingly accurate support for ground forces.
- Its "Jericho Trumpet" siren was intended as a psychological weapon, and its screaming dive sounds became a symbol of German air power.
- While highly effective against unopposed targets, it struggled against faster Allied fighters and was gradually withdrawn from frontline service on the Western Front.
The Model
With my printer and current settings this went together beautifully, not requiring any glue. If yours is a bit loose, you may add a drop of super glue, or reprint and ensure print order is on “inner/outer”. This seems to be the simplest way to adjust fit. Otherwise, enjoy printting this historic aircraft for your collection.
