Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like it, give it a boost for me!

My 15 year old daughter had a really funny idea a few days ago - A cartoonish roasted turkey to hold butter, and salt and pepper.

We sketched it out together and I modeled it for us.

It utilizes 4x 2x3mm magnets to keep the lid secure, but they're not needed.

It's silly and fun, and we hope you like it.

This is adorable and I LOVE IT!😍Very clever indeed!! Thanks so much for sharing!🙏 However, if I was to print again I’d upload into slicer and change the supports to ‘tree’ rather than rectilinear as they were a pain to remove and it may save on waste and print time. Awesome print though and now I can’t wait for Thanksgiving to set the table!🦃 Thanks again and have a blessed Turkey Day!!❤️

I have tried multiple times to print this and it keeps spaghetti stringing up at 3-4% into the print. I have a new H2D and I have washed the plate with soap/water and even tried rubbing alcohol. I’ve tried printing two and a time and one at time and nothing seems to work. I even tried printing something else with the brown as it was a new filament roll and it worked just fine on a different print. Any ideas why it won’t work? I got the salt and pepper shakers to print just fine.

It's always printed a bit poorly at the bottom, but i haven't seen it unravel like you're mentioning. I think the issue is the curvatures at the bottom. This was my very first printable model and i've learned a lot since. I will update the model and flatten the bottom out more which should fix the issues, and i'll reply to let you know it's up. Hopefully it will work after that :)

This is why I love this so much; it's one of the most creative things I've seen, and everyone is getting one. Well done! Love the imagination; I would never have looked at a turkey and thought, "right, butter dish and shakers." amazing. I can't boost but once printed I'll give stars. Thanks so much for sharing

I am new to 3D Printing and I was wondering how did you go from sketch to model? was it a scanning program or did you just use CAD or something.

A very sweet idea Unfortunately, small supports are needed around the base, which makes the final result look somewhat messy
