I Love this model! I printed the profile with separate noses to decrease the filament changes. But then ended up using the slicer to "paint" back on the black eyelids. Also painted the polar bear white while the base was a bluish marble PLA filament. I thought that gave it a nice contrast (ice vs polarbear). Finally I also added some "fuzzy skin" effect to the polar bear only using a modifier block. It got a little of the iceberg too but overall came out great!

How Do you add the fuzzy skin effect? I really like this idea but am new and do not know how to do that.

Hi Trig, I added a modifier cube that covered the polar bear and cub but not the ice (see pic, I right selected the main object then Add Modifier --> Cube). Then I selected "Objects" (on process tab), and then selected that cube that I just created. Then went to "Others" under process and selected Fuzzy Skin. See settings in other snap shot. Hope that helps!

This is so stinking cute! I did the fuzzy skin like another commenter did. I am trying to figure out how to do the eyes. I did not see the file in here to print them then glue them on and I really do not want to reprint it. Please put the eyes in the file with the noses Pretty please!

Printed for my neighbors little girl because she loves our polar bear Christmas lights. She loves it and now can look at them year round. I used all defaults with the print and it came out perfect. Gluing the little year's nose was a challenge for my old eyes.

To me the first design was great for a night light but I needed it more for a lamp, so I scaled it up to 140%. added an RGB kit 001 light from bambu and here's the final result, I think it came out great!

is the petg filament necessary for their noses?

Both PLA and PETG are fine, as long as it’s black.
