Description

Hey, I'm Foxwood! If you like my work, be sure to follow me for more design in the future!

UPDATE

After many request there is now a PS4 core in the print profiles! - Big thank you to PMFRTT for sending me his PS4 core!

Thanks to your feedback, I've updated the PS5 & Nintendo switch Pro cores for better stability and a more secure fit. While designed for display rather than secure holding, the controller is now less likely to fall out, though it may still come loose if knocked.

Upgrade Your Gaming Setup with the Foxwood Minimalist Controller Stand

Transform your gaming space with the Foxwood Minimalist Controller Stand—a perfect blend of functionality and modern elegance. Featuring an innovative interchangeable sleeve system, this stand lets you easily update its look with new designs from Foxwood and our creative community. With a sleek and minimalist design, it complements any setup, adding a refined touch to your desk or entertainment area. Its compact footprint keeps your space organized without taking up valuable room.

Key Features

  • Interchangeable Sleeve System: Our unique sleeve system offers easy customization. Switch out sleeves as new designs are released by Foxwood or talented community creators. Explore the Foxwood Curated Collection to find fresh options that keep your stand as versatile as your style.
  • Compatible with Multiple Controllers: Each model is meticulously 3D-scanned for a precise fit. Currently available models:

    • Xbox Series S/X (Elite Series 2)
    • PlayStation 5 DualSense
    • Nintendo Switch Pro
    • 8BitDo Pro 2

Have a different controller? Let me know, and I'll do our best to add it to the collection!

Community-Driven Design

The Foxwood stand embraces creativity from the community! While the main stand cores are not remixable and remains standardized for compatibility, the Standard decorative sleeve is open to remixing. Use this link to access the standalone standard sleeve to add your own remix to. Don’t forget to tag Foxwood in your uploads—we may feature your design in our curated collection, helping it reach a wider audience. Please also include this listing in your design description so others can easily find the compatible inner stand for there specific controller.

EDIT: it’s been fixed! The latest Switch Pro Updated profile has fixed the issue. I love it now! I'm wondering if I did something wrong - I printed the stand and outer shell in Bambu PLA, and they came out perfect! But it seems that the Switch insert is a couple mm too narrow for it to nest comfortably. It would have to be pressed in, slightly distorting the controller for it to rest inside completely, and even then it wants to pop back out. You can see the gap on the left side in my photo - it's a bit hard to see due to the darkness of the photo. Maybe I did something wrong? Printed on P1S. (Please ignore how dusty my controller is!)

These are just what we're looking for when it comes to keeping all of our different controllers organized. I love the all the controller options and customizations available. The only issues I've encountered are the same as @stiligFox (and possibly @miyari ) regarding the controller not fully resting down into the handle cutouts when placed in their cores. This is true for each controller core I have tried: PS5, Switch, 8bitdo Pro 2, and Xbox. It's as if each of them need a very small adjustment to the holes where spacing them further apart ever so slightly would fix it. This result was the same regardless of using PLA & PETG. I've included some photos showing the gap (on the right in these images) & fitment experienced when printing the versions for PS5, Switch, and 8bit. Overall, these are a great addition to our house and I recommend them to everyone. I know the fitment details can be adjusted on my end so I'm not worried about it. I just wanted to see if this was something wrong on my side or if others have seen it. Looking forward to see what comes out in the future regarding sleeves and cores. Any plans on making one for the 8bitdo SN30 Pro? Keep up the great work!!

UPDATED PlayStation 5 DualSence Core
No issues printing, but the stability for the new PS5 profile isn’t perfect, and I never tried the old one to compare. Jostling the stand easily dislodges the controller. The Switch profile is much more snug.

it’s never going to be able to stay if it’s nocked due to the design of the ps5 controller. the switch stay in more as it’s a better shape for it and it’s got rubber grips. also the deceptive sleeve is upside down in the photo

Thanks for the reply! I had been prepared to print these yesterday, and while I noticed you added the new profile, I didn't see your comment about knocking it. Thanks for pointing out that I did it upside down! I noticed the inserts protruded on the bottom and it still didn't click that I did it wrong. Embarassing!

This would be awesome to see if you’re able to make a model for the 8bitdo Ultimate C2! I love the design and concept and the Xbox stand is very well done. Boosted and followed! I’ll keep an eye out for potential updates. Thanks sharing your talent with the community!
