Description

Hey friends!

Today I started working on the original boxes, and first up is the RPi 3 box. The main change compared to the original design is the use of 80mm fans for better cooling. šŸŒ€ This modification is intended to ensure improved airflow and contribute to the longevity of the components. I’ll gradually continue modifying and testing more boxes, which require a little love and careful testing. It’s worth mentioning that this design doesn’t include access to the USB ports or microSD cards on the RPi, as I use OctoPrint and a TFT reader for these functions. šŸ”§ You can check out the link to my display enclosures below.

As for the changes: All models have been adjusted, thinned to 2.5mm, and simplified to make them easier to print and assemble. This process took several iterations, but the results are definitely worth it. šŸ”„ I also added new versions for the SKR boards, including a mount for the SKR Mini 1.1 board, which was requested. šŸ“¦ The RPi 3 box isn’t quite ready yet as I’m still waiting for the Step-down dimensions from the seller to fine-tune it.

I’ve removed the original versions and replaced them with the new simplified designs for both the SKR and RPi. This shift to new versions gives me more design flexibility and simplifies assembly. 😊 Lastly, I’ve added storage boxes on the front of the printer and a cover without inscriptions, which perfectly complements the whole setup. With these changes, the boxes are now complete, and soon they’ll be added to the front of the printer. šŸ› ļø Hope this is helpful!
