Description

USB SSD DOCK FOR Mac Mini 2024

这是一个为mac mini 2024版设计的外接硬盘底座,支持18mm以下厚度的外接硬盘。我为其设计了独立的散热风道以及改变了开关方向,使其更容易使用。

This is an external hard drive dock designed for the mac mini 2024 version, which supports external hard drives with a thickness of less than 18mm.I designed an independent heat dissipation duct for it and changed the direction of the switch to make it easier to use.

I use BambuLab ABS-GF print the cover and PETG-HF Print the red part.

The assembly of the switch part is shown in the figure below:

如果遇到组装后,开关按钮顶住机器开关,无法正常开关的情况,可以使用砂纸或小刀将顶针稍微切短一点:

If the switch button presses against the machine switch after assembly and cannot be turned on and off normally, you can use sandpaper or a knife to cut the ejector pin a little shorter:

如果你担心硬盘的散热问题,也可以选择打印打孔版外壳,来获得更好的散热效果:

If you are concerned about the heat dissipation of the hard drive, you can also choose to print a perforated version of the shell to achieve better heat dissipation:

Due to support structures, the bottom of the openings may sag slightly, a minor adjustment with a small knife will suffice

Really love the design so far. I cut a hole in the front using bambu studio to fit my orico drive. I can even insert it and pull it out without lifting the mac mini, which is exactly what i wanted. Only the button is still a big problem right now. At this point I lift up the mac mini and click the real button underneath, at is not worth it struggling with the printed button

You have blocked the air outlet duct, causing the components of the devices to burn and deteriorate. They can sue legally. You also distorted the air outlet angle. You also closed the top and sides of the aluminum case. This prevents the cooling process. You've blocked the air inlet and outlet ducts. The electronic components of the device will burn out and they will sue you. You also distorted the air inlet and outlet angles.

What are you on about mate... There’s no legal liability here. This design was shared for free. The responsibility to assess and modify it falls on the user. If someone prints and uses it without considering ventilation or their particular use case, that’s on them—not the designer. The creator isnt manufacturing, selling, or forcing you to use the design.
