Customizable Remote Control Holder
Print Profile(4)

Description
So I've designed a customizable remote control holder. Why store your remotes in a boring box when you can display your favorite show or movie on it. Plus, you can change it whenever you want. To start off I'm offering Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, and Game of Thrones, although I plan on expanding it to include Marvel and DC, Chicago sports teams, and more.
In addition to being able to change the logo displayed on the remote organizer, you can also adjust the organizer itself. The default setup which appears on the first plate is designed to hold a large, medium, and small remote with the spaces being 67mm, 58mm, and 47mm wide. However, the second plate features a customizable setup that defaults to a single divider in the middle giving you two 87mm wide sections.
How to make a custom sized openings:
On plate 2 the main stl file is simply a completely open box, but the divider is a separate part that can be moved to the left or right. Now this is important, only move it to the left or the right, do NOT move it in any other direction. So its Y position needs to be 90mm and its Z position needs to be 48.8mm. You can move it wherever you want on the X axis, and you can cut and paste it to create multiple dividers. Just remember if you cut and paste a second divider to make sure its Y and Z coordinates are the same as what I mentioned above. You do need to have at least one divider as it is required to hold the custom logo plate in place. Also, you will see that there is a small separate bracket model outside of the holder, you need to print one of these for each divider.
Printing custom logos:
You only need to print one custom logo, although you can print as many different ones as you want. I've provided you plates that include Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, and Game of Thrones. I've also made plates that contain two of these designs, printing these double plates will save you time and you'll have less waste than if you print the designs individually. Don't worry too much about how much is purged, there are only 5 layers of color on any of these designs, so waste is minimal. And as is the case with many of my models, the design will not be visible before you slice the plate, but I assure you it is there and will print correctly.
How to assemble:
Assembly is very easy, and my kids had no problem doing it. There is a gap between the outer wall and the dividers, simply slide the logo piece through this gap and then push it into the hole on the outer wall. Of course, the logo can easily fall out which is why I've provided you with those little brackets. After inserting the logo, just slide those brackets over the supports. It is important to insert them upside down from the way they print, so if you have a Textured PEI Plate, insert the brackets textured side up. The brackets will simply stop sliding when they are flush with the top of the holder, there is no need to use force. The purpose of the brackets are to prevent the logo from coming out, but to ensure that you can change it in the future.
How to disassemble:
Disassembly is just easy. Simply pull out the brackets. Push the logo into the holder, then slide it up. You can now reassemble it with a different logo.
Installing on a wall:
If you want to install this on a wall, you can do what I did and use 4 sets of the velcro-like, picture-hanging command strips. 4 sets are probably overkill, but remotes can be heavy and my kids aren't always careful so I didn't want to take any chances. Alternatively, you could always put two holes into the back of it and install it with drywall anchors.
Additional designs:
I plan to release additional designs as separate print profiles right here, so feel free to check back to see new designs. I'll also take special requests, so if there is a design you would like please send me a private message.
If you have any questions, just reach out to me, I'm happy to help.
