Description

Hey Guys, this is my adaptation of the original Ignition Cover of one of the most popular moped engines, the D50b0.

A friend of mine asked me to do a customizable Version for his Moped, and since there are really no .stl files of this particular cover, I decided to reverse engineer it.

So all in all this looks very much like the original one, with the difference that the top part is separate from the bottom.

This is because now you can put your own motives in the top without re-printing the whole thing. I'll explain the whole custom thing in a minute.

I recommend printing it with PLA or ASA, and yes PLA works fine, I accidently spilled a full tank of gasoline on it and it didn't have any effect at all. You'll also need 6 M3x10 Cylindrical Head screws and 6 M3 Nuts.

If you don't want to use screws, I can also publish the version without holes, but this is not customizable then except you want to use a ton of support.

So on to the custom part:

You need any software capable of making .svg files (I recommend Inkscape) and create a new file.

Then draw a thin circle. Inside the circle, draw or write anything you want on your engine cover.

But keep in mind that the whole drawing must be interconnected, otherwise it will print as separate parts.

Then export your drawing as normal svg (not inkscape svg!) and import it into Bambu Studio.

Scale it to about 105mm in diameter and 5mm in height. Drag it into the middle of the top part and merge the svg with the top part.

Now you should be able to print it.

If you run into any problems or want the screwless base version, feel free to reach out to me.

Have Fun with it!
