Description

Shalamayne, legendary sword wielded by Anduin Wrynn and his father Varian Wrynn before.

World of Warcraft fans should remember epic video from Legion times, the last fight of Varian Wrynn where he split Shalamayne into two swords. I just couldn’t post a single sword!

So here you go! Not one, not three but four swords :)

Shalamayne – In its closest to original form with two separated blades.

Simplified Shalamayne – version with both blades connected to the guard.

BONUS!

Ellemayne – the first half of Shalamayne

Shalla’tor – the second half of Shalamayne

Both of them are elven blades fused together into Shalamayne. I encourage all fans to read the story of how these two swords were combined. Jaina Proudmoore, Varian Wrynn (split into two people!) and Onyxia involved :)

Check my other models for World of Warcraft themed Dummy 13 weapons – The Untamed Blade, Twinblade of the Hakkari, Bloodlord’s Protector, Zin’rokh and Thunderfury! Also Horde and Alliance Battleground banners, both Classic and Retail versions and a new model – Treasure Chest / Bountiful Delve Epic Chest :)

How to print this models.

This models were designed with 0.4mm nozzle in mind, don’t try any bigger. Layer height matters. Due to complicated shape of the swords the lower the better. I printed mine with 0.12mm layer height and it came out really nice. Go with 3 walls and 0.12mm layer height or lower to help with overhangs. Model require supports.

Pommel and additional parts of the guard are printed as a separate objects. I used brim as they are pretty small and can fly off the bed during print. If you got good glue you may switch off the brim.

After print use glue to connect decorative parts of the guard. There is a hole that may help you with that if you use a short piece of filament.

Filament is needed to connect pommels to the grips. Push short piece of filament into pommel then cut the protruding part around 5mm from the pommel edge. Short blade of Shalamayne is connected to long one with two pieces of filament as well. Glue filament in the holes in long blade, cut them to around 4mm and then insert/glue them to short blade. One of the photos shows it.

If you like the model and you want to give it thumbs up, please also consider downloading it. It cost you just one additional click and it’s very important to me. Thank you!

World of Warcraft, Shalamayne, Ellamayne, Shala’tor and all trademarks belongs to Blizzard. I’m just a fan who recreated this models for 3D printing to share with others for free. No commercial use.

Happy printing! :)
