Description

My Hardinge HLV-H lathe did not have any mechanism for holding the chip shield up when clearing chips.

This gadget mounts to a cross bar of the chip shield and, when engaged, creates friction between the lever holding the shield in place. One latch is suffient but I am using, and recommending, two for redundancy.
