These are the articulated fingers for the skeleton hands which I use with my Jack Skellington Cosplay Costume, but can be used for many different costumes with or without the skeleton skin or if you just want something super cool :)

Before anything I should mention that this design can be fragile if printed with a different PLA filament other than Bambu so should be printed using PETG, ABS or ASA for increased durability. I printed and used it with other PLA and PLA+ but have found it to be fragile and quite often need to reprint and repair it. You have been warned, so please do not give this a bad rating because it is fragile if you use any other filament than Bambu PLA!

A few years ago Julien Jeanroy designed these articulated hands based on Gary Fay Creations. Great work, but prone to being hyper extended due to lack of proper gearing. I solved this by adding a tooth to one of the gears to allow for better movement and this has pretty much rectified this.

Assembly

I've put the necessary pieces for each finger on separate plates so you can print one finger and assemble it while printing the next finger. The parts are assembled using any filament which is heated on the end and squished to create a type of rivet. I use a lighter and heat with the flame for 3 seconds and then use the metal part of the lighter to press it flat. Do not use the plastic part of the lighter or it will get stuck.

You will need wrist straps and thin elastic to complete this build - I used these velcro cable straps and 1mm elastic string.

Please use the photo in the Assembly Guide for a visual reference on how to assemble each finger.
