Note: This is still a work in progress.

 

I made 4 prototypes of this before I decided to make it public. It was a bit challanging to try and make it work.

 

For example

  • While the ship is sailing :) the balloon should not fall to the side.
  • The flow of the air being extruded at the back, which makes the boat move had to be correct.
  • The benchy must float after the balloon was attached. etc etc.

I have only tested it in a small tub at home and haven't had a chance to test it in a pool or a lake.

How far and at what speed the benchy moves depents on the type of balloon you use.

 

I am no boat expert and I know there is a lot of room for improvement. I would love to hear your suggestions and recommendations.

 

You can use bag clamps to stop the air escaping before required.
