AMS Filament Label Holder

This is a holder for the actual label that comes on the cardboard box of filament from Bambu and also includes a card that can be printed to fit the same slot.

The holder sits on top of the lid and has cutouts for the lid handle and the latches at both ends. Can be glued or taped down, but it works well just sitting on the lid.

By cutting the label off the box and sliding it into the holder, you can determine at a glance what filament is in each AMS slot. It is very useful when using multiple filaments that are very close in color, like Gray, Silver, Light Gray etc. Simply take a razor or scissors and cut off the actual label from the filament box and slide it into each slot.

Alternatively, it comes with a card that can be printed with 3 lines of whatever text you want in the color of the filament, with whatever text you want to add, like:

BAMBU

MATTE PLA

DARK GRAY

When done, the label can go along with the filament spool into whatever vacuum bag or storage container you use, then replaced in the slot when the filament makes its way back into the AMS.

The holder (328mm) is longer than the X1 plate is wide (256mm), so it must be rotated to fit diagonally - it is rotated to 135 degrees in this file.

UPDATE: Added v9 of the holder to include fillets on the bases of each vertical column to make them less prone to breaking if you try to insert a label that has not been cut to the correct width.
