Description

AMS Lite filament passthrough for Ikea Lack table. Big enough for toolhead clearance, works perfectly with 85mm lack leg extension. I have cut mine with jigsaw but it can be easily done by hacksaw, hole saw etc. I have create template to make whole process easier. You will need 28x 3mm/12mm Wafer screws or similar size.

I did a terrible job cutting the hole for this and had to expand on both sides. still worked fine. Good forgiving design.

I used the template that it comes with, but I didn't have a good way to cut through both sides at once. had to mark one side, flip it over, mark the other. I measured wrong on the second side, so the hole didn't line up. 100% my fault, but the flange on the model is wide enough I was able to make it work and it still looks perfect in spite of my mistake.

Very nice design. I'm interested in the mount for the AMS. Could you post a pic of it, or explain how you did it? Thanks

Doesn't the bed of the A1 extend beyond the footprint of the lack table? Or do you not enclose it and just use it open, like a shelf?

its just a shelf.

If you leave the back open that the cable can move troughe everything is inside the diameters of the lack table. If you would close it fromm all sides the back bed cable would not have enough space to move.

Yeah, in other words, you can't enclose it.

In that position does the AMS arrive well or do you have to change the tubes and put a cable extender? thank you

Great idea to clear up poor cuts using an electric saw.
