update : 25/06/2026

really thank you for the feedback and ratings!

i uploaded a profile for one spring printed on petg.

petg seems to work better over time. so consider to use petg for the springs also.

multiply by 4 to have all the springs needed even from the handy app….

The very famous connect four in a row board game travel edition.

this is one of my favorite games and designs while featuring an overengineering lock mechanism.

just imagine that the lock mechanism took more to design than the whole project that wasn't so easy.

I used fusion for this.

i kept the dimensions so that you can print it even in the a1 mini.

Total dimensions:

  • 168mmx115mm the base case
  • 30mm height closed and 125mm height when playing

There is a very useful lock mechanism for the lid. Its really addicted too i confess.

the springs are in relax strength always. the only moment it works is when you slide the lid. when you slide the lid till its closed there are holes on it that the springs "park inside". there isn't constant load and if it is it will be very little depend on how calibrated is the machine. mine isn't so calibrated and still the springs park inside the holes of the lid just fine without load.

Totally 3d printed even the springs for the lock mechanism.

here you can see the test:

There will be other versions too so if you like this don't forget to follow so to know when other version will be up.

deadpool vs wolverine version is already up as a profile here.

There are 4 plates for original profile and 5 for the deadpool vs wolverine profile.

  • first plate has the tokens and 3 springs for the lock mechanism. this plate you have to print it twice. First with red and second with yellow colors.
  • second and third plates have the 2 parts for the lid. Lida and Lidb.
  • fourth plate has the main case.

Assembly instructions.

  • print lid a and lid b. Glue them together. i used super instant glue. Let it rest it for a while with a weight on it.

  • install the 4 springs on their base. a drop of glue will hold them in place but maybe you will not need it at all like me. If its really tight please push it from the base with a screw or something so not to stress too much the springs.

  • Play with passion and enjoy
