Description

I made a replacement for my Kemper key. This is a key for an outdoor water tap. I made this as replacement and as backup ;-)

My printed PLA key worked for nearly 2 years. But I decided to print a new one in petg. But its curious, the newly printed one is way too big... 🤷‍♂️

printed one in 99%, 98%, 97% and 96%. The 99% isnt working either. 96,97,98 are all working, i prefer the 96% for a tight fit!

What exactly do you mean by "too big"? The dimensions are taken from an original KEMPER key. Depending on the print, it may be minimally larger and have some play. To make it slightly tighter, the X and Y scaling can be adjusted to 98% or 97%

Thank you, what material did you use? The teeth on mine aren't pronounced enough for the key to grip optimally when tightening. Thank you

I've always printed this with PLA It works quite well for me that way If necessary, you can scale the model down to 97% or 98% in X and Y This makes it slightly more robust
