Description
These pads are fully customizable, allowing you to adjust infill for your ideal level of stiffness. The default setup strikes a balance between comfort, rigidity, and jumping ability. For a softer, more cushioned feel, remove the custom infill entirely.
3D Printing Guidelines
- Scaling: These pads are sized for larger wheels; for smaller wheels, reduce the X and Y axis scale to between 50-90% while keeping the Z axis at 100%.
- Material & Print Settings:
- Material: 85A TPU
- Bed Temp: 60°C
- Nozzle Temp: 250°C
- Layer Height: 0.3 mm
- Nozzle Size: 0.8 mm
- Perimeters: 3
- Top Layers: 3-4
- Bottom Layers: 7-12
- Infill: Default infill is 10% gyroid, while custom infill regions have 25% gyroid for added stiffness. Some foot peg areas are set at 35% infill—refer to the project file for details.
- Flow Rate: Set to 4.5 mm³/s (or appropriate for your printer) to control print speed.
For added stiffness, increase the perimeters or top/bottom layers—three perimeters are the minimum for durability. Make sure your filament is dry and consider a warm enclosure to improve results.
The files include front and back pad designs. If your print bed is small, it’s best to print each piece separately.
