Description

Brackets for wall mounting Dewalt DCB105 battery charger.

For whatever reason Dewalt didn't include any way to mount this charger on the wall. I've been thinking about an elegant way to wall mount it but couldn't find one that satisfied me until I had a 3D printer. While looking for existing solutions, I couldn't find a model that was not covering the documentation of the charger's light. So here is my proposition inspired by a commercial product I saw online.

While not destructive, those brackets require to replace screws holding the back of the charger (see below for more information). New screws will attach brackets to the charger while keeping it closed at the same time. The change is reversible and I've been able to re-screw the back panel with original screws, but I guess, screwing and unscrewing in plastic with screws of different threading could damage the plastic. So, don't use these brackets if you plan to open the charger often (but honestly I don't see why ones would do this).

Material:

  • 4 countersink head wood screws 3x45
  • 4 countersink head wood screws 3x25

Instructions:

  • Remove the 2 screws holding the backpanel of the charger
  • Put the bracket in place
  • Use 2 screws (3x45) to attach one bracket to the charger
  • Repeat for other bracket
  • Attach bracket to the wall using 4 3x25 screws
