Update January 2026: new version

I released a new version of this model today.

This version is compatible with the A1 mini printer. Also the old version was compatible but MakerWorld automatic checks failed because I was using a print per object on two plates.

I fixed corners on the back of the model which were not perfectly aligned.

Also in the 3MF files I used the STEP file for higher resolution, the STL version was creating some artifacts, no matter how high-res I was exporting them.

I also published a new print profile with the trophy in one single vertical piece, this is not compatible with A1 mini printers, but if you want to have it at it's best you can print it from that profile.

I added the new Panini logo that has been added in new season to the PDF files attached to the project if you want to print it as sticker and attach it on the front-left side. This is not 3D printable since it has too many small details.

About the trophy

The Italian Serie A TIM MVP trophy award is assigned to recognize excellence across multiple facets of the game at each season end Serie A confers awards for the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, striker, under-23 player, and overall MVP, an approach that not only celebrates standout performances in each role but also highlights the rising talent among younger players.

Since 2010, rather than relying on subjective voting, the award selections are grounded in comprehensive data analytics, an evaluation system that integrates an extensive array of performance metrics, including traditional statistics such as goals and assists as well as advanced tracking data on player positioning and movement off the ball. These metrics ensure each player's tactical, physical, and technical impact on the game is carefully considered.

The overall MVP is awarded at the season’s end, and trophies for category winners are typically presented in the final matchweek, creating a celebratory atmosphere for players and fans alike. Recent winners include Lautaro Martínez, who claimed the 2023-24 MVP title after a stellar season leading Internazionale Milano Football Club to victory with his goal-scoring prowess and leadership on the field. His season was emblematic of the qualities in top players: strategic awareness, consistency, and the ability to perform under high-stakes conditions.

This data-focused approach is a modern approach, combining tradition with technology to MVP selection which is unique in European leagues, leveraging advanced sports science to celebrate the league’s most valuable players in a structured and validated manner. The MVP program underscores the commitment to both honoring the current stars of Italian soccer and fostering future talents who exemplify tactical acumen and physical excellence.

About the model

The model is created is in various parts and you will need to assemble them. The whole thing is designed to assemble with precision, for a little more definitive grip, consider using a small drop of glue here and there. While flag pieces, the top plate, the trophy and the base fit perfectly together, the only way you have to put the logo in place is with glue.

This animation details how the whole thing is assembled.

Plate 1: Trophy

The trophy itself lays on his back, this object is printed using normal supports with Snug style as the base connector is floating above the plate.

This has plate layer height has been changed to 0.1 for a better quality in printing.

Plate 2: Base

This plate contains the base of the trophy ready to be printed.

Plate 5: Flag parts

It uses global settings but the printing sequence is switched to print by object, in this way you can print all required pieces at one time.

The Italian flag pieces are flipped by rotating them by 180° so that the shown face is the one on the plate, generally having better quality. They also have 3 millimeters of outside brim at a distance of 0.18mm.

Plate 6: Plate with laurel only

On this plate there's only the top plate with the “Serie A” logo and the laurel. No special settings are used.

Plate 8: Clean plate

This plate contains only the model of the top plate without any marks on it, it's flipped upside down so that the shown face is on printing plate, which usually ensures a better quality. No special settings are used.

Plate 09: Serie A TIM logo

This is the most complex print, it requires five colors to be printed and you should really consider printing it using a 0.2mm nozzle for better details. The first layer filament sequence has been changed to print the white color, then the dark blue color, the light blue and then the rest.

Speed has been decreased to 50mm/s for outer wall and 100mm/s for inner wall.

A three millimeters outside brim has been added to the distance of 0.18mm.

Printing the logo as a sticker

If you don't want to mess with printing the multicolor logo in plate 9, you can print the logo as a sticker in the attached PDF in the documentation of this project. Make sure size is 20mm x 35mm or scale accordingly if you scaled the whole project.
