If you have an insulin pump, you know the experience of snagging your tube or dropping your pump and the pain (and sometimes set changes) it causes. This little clip can be attached to a pocket or belt loop to wrangle the tube. If you do snag your tube the clip will prevent or reduce tugging on your infusion site.
This clip could also be used to manage wires for things like lavaliere microphones, up to 2mm in diameter.
Simply route the tube / wire through the channel and put the cover on.
I find that the PETG clip is more flexible. If you need a stiffer clip PLA works fine, but it's not my preference.
Originally modeled in BricsCAD, and the .dwg is available for download. Commercial use is allowed. My goal here is to provide a useful tool for all T1s, and I don't want to create any impediments to that.
Please feel to share how you feel this could be improved, or other ideas to help Type 1s.
2025 Feb 26 Update! - A new version is released. This versions tightens the teeth up quite so it hangs on a bit better as the clip ages. I've rounded out some of the edges to make it a bit more comfortable if presses against your skin, and most importantly I've updated the closure mechanism so that it's less likely to come off by accident. I've left V1 up for those who find they prefer it.
