Description
The Fantom EP-4WD are part of my favorite onroad rc cars. They are quite special. I built a Fantom EP-4WD Ext Gold version recently, and I had to do some adaptation to be able to make it mine... And those should help anyone willing to run theirs.
Specific parts for Fantom EP-4WD-Ext are redesigned from the EP-4WD non Ext and may not fit the non Ext version (I' have not tested, and you may find the parts I designed for the non Ext version in other publications)
- Front Bumper with added led buckets (I like my cars with lights :-) ) : I suggest to print this part in TPU.
- Rear Led holder acts as well as a bumper, includes a fake exhaust. I suggest to print the part in TPU.
- Chain guide in 2 versions. This parts is fixed using the screw that is normally used to fixed the antenna support (which I don't use with 2.4G setup). If you want to use the antenna support, you would need a longer screw. One version have provision for M3 inserts (M3*5.7mm long - I had those from 3D Jake), the other version is without provision for inserts. Insert version is for those using Lipo packs as you should not charge the battery on the chassis with a lipo battery. I suggest to print this in PETG.
- Extension to fit the battery pack. I provided them for Hard pack in 20mm, 25mm and regular stick pack (138mm). 20 mm extensions are also provided in step, so you can modify them to suit your battery requirements easily if you use a shorty pack or a lower profile pack... I suggest to print this in PETG. Each side is fixed with a M3*10 screw
