The current Alex drawers are 63cm in width with 60cm drawer width.&nbsp; The original design left around 6mm of space when all boxes were inserted into the drawer. By adding a little bit of width to the white box it is possible to avoid having to use the smaller white boxes having everything in the same system. This gives a total width of 595,25 which still leaves some space for the drawer screws and a little wiggle room for sliding the boxes.

Simply made a version for the A1 Mini. I found this useful for myself and just wanted to share it.&nbsp;You can fit 6 of these square trays in a drawer. You may find a solution yourself for the empty spaces in the drawer. I also made a combination of inserts that will fit the square tray. But its modular, which means you can change it yourself if needed.&nbsp;UPDATED with boxes that fill out the entire drawers, but still printed on the A1 mini. I recommend using the original if you have a larger printer.

I took Phenix&#39;s streamlined trays and added modifier cutouts to the bottoms and sides to be infill and not solid walls. This saves significant filament cost while maintaining strength and functionality. I altered the bottoms of the inserts, but not the sides. I found that having the textured side walls caused more friction when trying to pull them out of the container and compromised its ease of use. &nbsp;The infill pattern on the bottom is small enough to hold most pieces in my collection other than isolated bars, and those take some work to slip through. The infill patterns on the sides are optimized to maintain strength and feel relatively smooth to the touch. Note that if you rotate any of the prints, you won&#39;t get the same results without adjusting the infill direction (you may have to go up or down in the density by 5% as well).&nbsp;I also doubled up on the inserts being printed per plate. If you have a smaller print bed, you can always delete the duplicates&nbsp;Update March 2026: If you are experiencing corners that lift up off the print plate resulting in warped boxes, it is because your print is cooling down too fast. I first printed my trays in the summer and did not experience this problem. I went back to print a few more this winter and started seeing this problem with my printer being in a cold garage. I was able to mostly fix the problem, though depending on my layout of inserts I can still have one corner lift a little bit. Here is what I did on my P1S:<ul><li>Print in an enclosure (I put my top cover back on)</li><li>Place brim ears or outer brim (I&#39;m not sure if this one actually helps or not)</li><li>Under Filament settings &gt; Cooling<ul><li>Turn off the part cooling fan (I set the special cool settings to 0% for the first 1000 layers and the min and max speed threshold to 0%)</li><li>Turn the auxiliary part cooling fan speed down to 35% (I tried 0%, but got some deformation in the first few layers of the print and it didn&#39;t help the corner lifting option</li></ul></li></ul>

Less Filament - lighter bottom and sides

This is a modular organiser system that fits the IKEA Alex 6 Drawer Cabinets.&nbsp;An entire drawer will fit 4 large square trays (gray), and 2 rectangular ones (white) which you can then fill using a combination of inserts of your choice. &nbsp;The system is completely modular with the danish branded brick sizes in mind, but can work for whatever your needs might be.&nbsp;The rectangular large tray (white) needs to be printed with the 3 smaller inserts included in the file, since they fill the leftover space the modular system couldn&#39;t handle.&nbsp;These files were designed for the shorter Alex Drawers. They also work on the taller drawers, but if you want to maximize the use of space add 20 millimetres to all files.
