Description
For the space exploraion contest I made a desktop model of the Sputnik 1, which was launched on October 4th 1957. What fits better for this contest, than the first artificial Earth satellite?
All parts for this build can be printed. Of course, feel free to paint the model afterwards if you like.
The antennas and the two pieces of the sphere need to be glued together, otherwise they will not stick.
I added different designs for the base and the text, including in Russian, since this satellite was launched by the USSR. I put the text of the base on the bottom, because this worked best for me. If you had better experience with printing the text on top, feel free to rotate the base.
