Description

This is a replacement drawer latch for Snap-on toolboxes with the lock 'n roll drawer system.

One of my toolboxes had 3 broken ones and I figured I'd replace them but didn't feel like going out in buying new ones so I just replicated them off one of my not broken ones.

It works like a normal one and I just printed it out of PLA since it's a pretty simple print.

Maybe one day I'll make an extension to add to wider drawers but at least this fixes the problem for now and I'll save the extension for another time.

Fit like a charm on my harbor frieght 5 drawer mechanic tool cart series 3.

do you have the original cad file? The one generated by makerworld is not really able to be edited in fusion360. I need to make a couple of small tweaks to get it to work with my box. Thank you so much!!

did you enlarged the small section where the tab joints with the track itself ? I printed 2 of these and BOTH snapped at that same exact place.

nice to know, didn’t know that. I bought the box used and a few were missing.

is PLA the best filament for this?

PLA is probably the weakest unless it’s a tough PLA. ABS or ASA would be more idea but PLA can work for a bit if you need it to

I have a 44" drawer but I tried it anyway, I printed it with a 4 mm nozzle it was to thick so I trimed it with a razor knife to get it to fit. it only opens and close from the far right side but it works great thanks for sharing. I live in a small town and couldn't find a truck for over a year.
