Update 10.11.2024: optimized the gearbox plate and added the fuel rail assemby in the guide

Update 31.10.2024: following parts are updated/repaired → engine block, oil pump, cooling fan, middle belt and cylinder block parts 1 to 4 (all four)!

I'm thrilled to present you my latest work. It's 1/5 scale single turbo fanmade version of the legendary RB26DETT engine (Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R) and a tribute to it.
I tried to catch as much details as possible and still make it printable with an FDM printer. It was a huge amount of work and lot of testing and tweaking went into it, to delivery you the best possible quality.
Most of the parts should fit without any gluing, but since you don't want them to accidently fall apart, I recommend you to use some PLA or CA glue.
I've spent also a lot of time to make a assembly guide, to make the assembly process as comfortable as possible for you, since there are a lot of parts that has to be put together. If you are still struggling, just let me know.
You can find the PDF down bellow.

Optional: to add more realism to the model, you can use some chrom and black markers for the details like i did. I've also used a piece of leather for the top surface of the base. You can use the photos and the assembly guide for reference what color for what detail. You probably can use the AMS system if you have one, instead of painting, but I haven't tested it.

Idea: if you have some effect sheet plates, you can print the base plate topdown, to achieve an effect on the top surface (f.e. carbon effect). All STLs are avaible for download.

There are also solid version of the base and the cylinder block if you want to print them in one piece. I've separated them for better result.

Print profile settings:
- layer height: 0,16 mm
- print speed: 120
- Infill: 15%
- tree supports

I hope you like this model and feel free to let me know what you think about it.

For now there's nothing more to add except, have fun printing :D

Greets,
Danko
