Garage Door Opener Sensor Shield

Likely a very basic use of the P1S but it is a functional problem that we were able to solve.

Background

Recently upgraded Two (2), side-by-side Garage Door Openers. Also have a garage parking assistant. Long story, short, the parking assistant infrared beam was wreaking havoc with the obstruction sensors of the garage door openers. I tried all the permutations of installation with send / receive directions but could not get reliable open and closing functionality. Finally, identified the culprit.
 

Solution

A simple 3D printed signal screen. I wanted something that I could mount to the wall and be off the floor, so not to interfere with cleaning. We modeled the design with cardboard cutouts (from Amazon box) and then whipped up a design based on the cardboard machup that worked out perfectly. In a matter of minutes to design and tweak (even included counter-sunk screw holes), followed by an hour+ print, and then a minutes to install, I now have reliable open and close of both garage door opener units with parking assistance without issue!
