Description

A simple thread gauge for metric threads, designed to check bolts from sizes M3 to M14. The bolt diameter can be verified using the corresponding holes, and the thread pitch can be checked along the disc’s edges.

Material and print time are minimal, depending on your settings. The tool requires approximately 5g of filament and can be printed in under 30 minutes (with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height). The disc thickness is set to 1.5mm by default, but this can easily be adjusted in your slicer (Z-axis scaling) to suit your needs.

Past 1.0 it practically is flat The 2.0 marker is squished in and it’s so close to the edge that there is almost a crack when your remover after the plate I would recommend remodeling the thing and maybe instead of having a thread distance on the side you can have a threaded hole or least Have the model done in .2 to get those bump still I wouldn’t very much recommend there are plenty of other models better for the use case

It turned out great! 0.4 mm nozzle! Threads of 0.8, 0.7, and 0.5 mm look like texture, but a bolt with the correct threads doesn't slide along it; it sinks into the grooves, preventing it from moving. This is how you can determine the thread size.

Thank you for this print. Unfortunatly this type of a detailed item realy does require a 0.2mm nozzel.

I finally received my 0.2mm nozzle and the print was produced with much better detail. With the standard 0.4mm nozzel; the 1.25mm pitch thread was useable, the 1mm was marginal, 0.8 & 0.7mm looked more like a surface texture and 0.5mm looked smooth. With a 0.2mm nozzle; The 0.5mm pitch thread was marginal, but all others usable.

I’m sorry to hear that, I will make a profile for 0.2 nozzle to fix that

too thin, therefore increased thickness to 3mm. 0.5mm and 0.7mm are unfortunately not representable with a 0.4 nozzle. 0.8 is actually also not measurable. But the idea is good

Love this tool. I printed it so i would have something to identify a thread size and this works great.
