*i have added a new profile for a new insert which fits the Kit-001 / MH001, this inserts fits all my existing lamps.

Details:

0.16mm Layer

2 Walls
15% Infill

Adaptive layer height to smooth out top
100% rectlinear infill, arachne wall generator. (arachne takes longer to slice, but generates a better print)

No support really need, but i use inner brim for the globe only, as i removed the lip on the globe based to suit my LED inserts.

Do NOT: use detect thin walls

Although it's awesome, the top of the sphere failed at the last 10 min of a 10 hour print. Also I had to adjust the base myself, because it wouldn't hold still the 6cm led puck. I don't know why don't all sphere litophane makers agree on one base and atachment mechanism, so the spheres can be interchangeable between models. The moon model base and settings are great for example. For this one I ended up making a custom snowflake dome top to fix the hole, which ended up looking cool.

i have printed about 50+ of these and never had a issue with the roof. i am very mindful of this and i like my prints to be 100% prefect. i even added support to my pokemon lamp as i was a hard one to print. what we can agree on is the base, a standard would be prefect but after hundreds of lamps i will remain with the same leds and base.

ok i didnt know this was a negotiation. the roof failed probably because of the poor base contact. when you have overhangs like in a dome structure, the unsupported part of the layer tends to curve upwards. This creates downward pressure when the extruder lays down the next layer. Also the LED puck needs a base to sit on, it is a very easy fix.

I don't have an AMS and I did not want to bother with changing filament midway through a print, so I made the bottom led insert black and taller so no light goes through the white front. it is almost as good as AMS one.

you do not need an ams, just add a pause instead of the colour change at the same layer height. it will make your like alot easier!

I made this from Cyan from eSun for lithopanes. It turned out great with the dimming light. I had no issues printing. Thank you for sharing.

I scaled up the lamp a bit and it worked without problems When the lamp is on, it just looks so incredibly beautiful Our daughter (4 years old) loves the lamp Thank you very much
